1 John 4:10

In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Jonathan S.

Ezekiel 36:26-28

A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will remove from your body the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

I will put my spirit within you, and make you follow my statutes and be careful to observe my ordinances.

Then you shall live in the land that I gave to your ancestors; and you shall be my people, and I will be your God.

for since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

Psalms 121 (120):1-2

English: Webster's Bible

1. A Song of ascents.
I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2. My help cometh from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

The first 3 words of the psalm are actually not part of the poetry; they are a description of the kind of psalm it is: a pilgrim psalm or psalm of ascents or degrees, perhaps sung while traveling to the temple for a festival.
