Grammar: Ablative Degree of Difference

When there is a comparison, the ablative case is used to express the amount of difference (degree of difference) between the things that are being compared.

» Marcia melius cantat quam Marcus. Marcia sings better than Marcus does.

» Marcia multo melius cantat quam Marcus. Marcia sings much better than Marcus does.
