Week 3. Vulgata: Samson

Readings | Weekly Activities

This week we will continue reading from the Vulgate, moving on to the story of Samson and Delilah, one of the most famous narratives of the Hebrew Bible. Samson is a great hero, a "superman" of incredible physical strength. He is also a violent man, and has made many enemies among his neighbors in Palestine. The scheming Delilah is finally able to bring about his downfall, cutting the hair which is the talisman of his strength. But this is not the end of the story... as you will discover this week!
