It is easy to take a screenshot using Mac OS-X!

To capture the entire screen, press Command-Shift-3. This will cause the system to create a screenshot and save it as a PDF file on your Desktop. You can then email the PDF file as an attachment to an email. (You might want to give the file a different name, so that the person receiving the file knows what they are looking at.)

To capture a region of the screen, press Command-Shift-4, then click and drag the cursor to mark the area you want to see in the screenshot. Just like a screenshot of the entire screen, this method saves a PDF file to your Desktop which you can send as an email attachment.
