Here are the types of questions you will be asked on the Morphology and Syntax quizzes:

Identify the best translation (English). Which of the following choices is the best translation for this sentence? Grading: one point for identifying the best translation

γινώσκομεν ὅτι πιστεύετε καὶ θέλετε διδάσκειν.

a. I know that you believe and you want to teach.
b. we know that you believe and you want to teach.
c. we know that you believe and you want to learn.
d. I know that you believe and you want to learn.

Identify the best translation (Greek). Which of the following choices is the best translation for this sentence? Grading: one point for identifying the best translation

I know that a brother is speaking and you are not listening.

a. γινώσκομεν ὅτι λέγεις καὶ ἀδελφὸς οὐκ ἀκούει.
b. γινώσκω ὅτι λέγεις καὶ ἀδελφὸς οὐκ ἀκούει.
c. γινώσκομεν ὅτι ἀδελφὸς λέγει καὶ οὐκ ἀκούεις.
