21.147 Accentuation of Contract Verbs

If you analyze the contracted vowels in the contract verbs using the chart Croy provides in section 146, you can also analyze and predict where the accent will fall.

In general, however, it is much more efficient simply to practice the actual verb forms as shown in the Contract Verb Chart and learn to get a "feel" for where the accent goes, rather than trying to apply a set of rules.
