6.35 Masculine Nouns of the First Declension

Please make sure you read Croy Lesson 6.35 with his comments about the masculine nouns of the first declension. You have two of these first declension masculine nouns in this week's vocabulary: μαθητής and προφήτης.

The forms of the first declension masculine nouns are somewhat unusual. They are not identical to the first declension feminine nouns!

I've created a chart below to help you see how these first declension masculine nouns take the masculine forms of the definite article and adjectives. Notice how the endings vary, because the article and adjective have endings built with omicron and omega, but the nouns are basically taking second declension endings based on alpha and eta. Also, you can practice the paradigms!
