Vriddhakshetra

VRIDDHAKSHETRA. Father of Jayadratha. When Jayadratha was born, a voice from the heavens predicted that he would become a mighty warrior but he would be beheaded in battle. To protect his son, Vriddhaksetra pronounced this curse: if someone caused his son's head to fall to the ground, that man's head would shatter into a hundred pieces.
