KSHATTRI. [Source: Dowson's Classical Dictionary of Hindu Mythology] A name by which Vidura was familiarly called. The term, as explained in Manu, means the son of a Sudra father and Brahman mother, but Vidura's father was a Brahman and his mother a slave girl.
