Ἄρκτος φιλεῖν ἄνθρωπον ἐκτόπως ηὔχει·
νεκρὸν γὰρ αὐτοῦ σῶμ' ἔφασκε μὴ σύρειν.
πρὸς ἣν ἀλώπηξ εἶπε "μᾶλλον ᾑρούμην
εἰ νεκρὸν εἷλκες, τοῦ δὲ ζῶντος οὐχ ἥπτου."
Ὁ ζῶντα βλάπτων μὴ νεκρόν με θρηνείτω.
